Houda Benyamina in Chloé Radio
The podcast series features women who embody Chloé’s natural, free-spirited femininity

“To all women, I always say, you must dare.” — Gaby Aghion, founder of Chloé, in 1952.
The Chloé Radio podcast evokes these words by inviting women who inspire Chloé to share their views, whether personal insights or towards the wider world.

In this episode of Chloé Radio, Houda Benyamina opens up to host Augustin Trapenard about conjuring her inner strength through the films she writes and directs. Winning the Caméra d’Or at Cannes and the César Award for Best First Feature Film for Divines (2016), she speaks about her forthcoming film that explores the subject of freedom, noting that to her, this means “defending the values you want to defend” and “not being scared.” Through her association, 1000 Visages, she engages in transmitting cinema skills to a diverse spectrum of youth. With greater visibility, Benyamina notes the difference between her public and private voices. She says the determination she exudes today stems back to childhood, at one point telling Trapenard, “Giving up is not part of my vocabulary.”

Gaby Aghion founded Chloé to give women freedom to dare to be themselves.
