In this transporting video, learn all about the story behind the costumes designed by Maria Grazia Chiuri for the processional opera commissioned by the Biennale Musica 2021: "moving still - processional crossings" by the Italian composer Marta Gentilucci. For the four poetesses, the Creative Director of Dior women's collections created spins on the classical peplos in artisanal pleated silk chiffon, a nod to Mariano Fortuny, their jewel tones contrasting with the black looks and hooded capes of the choir.
