Balmain has teamed up with fashion collective IN THE BLK for a partnership unlike any other: a residency program aiming to nurture the next generation of exceptional Black creatives and forge a more inclusive fashion industry.
The residency will explore the fusion between artisanship and couture as resident Dayanne Danier, founder of the brand Bien Abyé – meaning “well dressed” in Haitian Creole – visits Balmain HQ for mentorship, conceptualization, and business strategy sessions.
Drawing from her Creole roots, Danier offers a line of high-impact accessories using Haiti’s unique architectural heritage, made with local artisans to help empower and highlight their communities.
