Balmain, Olivier Rousteing and a select group of “Balmain Army” members attending the Met Gala are proud to announce their participation in a unique fundraising auction to raise money for (RED)’s fight against AIDS.

"The numbers are shocking.
Today, there are over 16 million children worldwide who have lost a parent to AIDS. Most of them live in Sub-Saharan Africa, where the disease is the largest killer of adults.
That hits close to home. Having spent my earliest years in an orphanage, there are few things that can affect me as much as the struggles of a vulnerable child.
Learning about (RED)'s impressive record of educating, empowering and protecting people through the Global Fund’s programs has helped make it clear to me that if we truly want to change this situation, we have the power to do that. Every day, (RED)’s efforts help to ensure that fewer children lose their parents to AIDS and that fewer babies are born with HIV—which is why I am dedicated to doing anything that I can to help (RED) and its essential work.
For this year’s Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Benefit, I am happy to announce that Balmain, some important members of our "Balmain Army" and I are part of a very special (RED) carpet. My team and I have created one-of-a-kind Balmain designs for everyone seated at Balmain’s Met Gala table: Jennifer Lopez, Juliette Binoche, Natalia Vodianova, Natasha
Poly, Julia Stegner, Alex Rodriguez and Trevor Noah. Each of those exclusive gowns and tuxedos will later be auctioned off, with all proceeds going to support (RED)’s fight to end AIDS.
So, the Balmain Army is literally giving the clothes off its back – in the hope that we can raise as much money as possible for the fight against AIDS.
From today until May 21st, bids on the Balmain (RED) carpet designs can be made
on IfOnly.com/RED. Of course, I know that not everyone can afford to buy a one-of-a-kind Balmain. But we can all help in the fight against AIDS.
Those who wish to lend their support can purchase a special “fan badge,” which they can post on social media, to let their friends and family know that they share with Balmain and (RED) a commitment to end AIDS."
