Fast, faster, fastest. This song just rips through earth's core. James Hetfield is the king of riffs and keeping up with his pace is definitely a challenge on its own. I have been skipping this one for some time, just because of the awkward riffs and gallops until now. I felt I have gained enough experience to tackle this little number this week.
The entire song really isn't that difficult when you look at it from a riff perspective, but the speed at which these gallops happens is where it's at. The lead is just as awkward to play as it feels at certain points that there is no particular rhythmic pattern and that Kirk is just banging away on those strings. Get past those few obstacles and you'll survive the play another day. I used Emissary Amp and Cab sims here and the MT2 Drums vst with some Groove Agent SE drums.
