So people have been bugging me to do something from this series for like a million years now and I finally got around to it after my post-medley slump following my previous video (still kinda recovering from that one).

I've heard a couple different covers of Kraid's Lair but most of them tend to be more acoustic or jazzy in nature; so I did my normal thing where I make it all annoying and heavy and distorted and ruin the atmosphere WHO WOULDA THOUGHT I'D DO THAT

I kind of ran with the idea of the track carrying some Agalloch influence, which evolved into this Within the Ruins style syncopation and djenty stuff and ended with me just saying "fuck it" and whipping out the old BDM influences. I think it turned out pretty decent considering how much it changes over the course of like 2 minutes.

I finally got around to getting my hands on a legit mic for recording with as well; an AT2020. I'm not used to messing with ambient noise and crap like that so it was fun trying to eliminate certain variables from my recording environment.

Side note: right now I'm doing all this stuff just cuz I like it, but I'd like to eventually get to the point where I'm at least earning some form of income from this stuff so I can continue to improve my equipment and overall production value. Next thing on the list is getting a new interface and some more instruments.

Oh, and I recently hit 1k subs. yay :')
