This band has become one of my all time favorite bands. Their musical genius and powerful lyrical content is just awe inspiring. This song, Absit Omen, ( Latin, literally ‘may this (evil) omen be absent’) has so many great riffs and lead parts. I just cannot wrap my head around how awesome this entire album, of breath and bone, is. This will be my 3rd guitar cover off this album and I will, soon enough, try my very best to cover the entire album.
Tuning is Std D
The tabs for this song on the web are very inaccurate, as is the case with most tabs as well as the time signatures. So I, once again, figured it all out by ear including the string arrangements. As far as I can tell, this would be the most acurate tab or guitar cover out there (not claiming to be 100% correct, but at least a well deserved upgrade if you will). I haven't seen many covers of this track, but those that are out there definitely utilized the tabs on the web.
Again, as always, I make use of the Emissary Amp and Cab Sims as well as the MT2 Power Drumkit plugin ( All which are free to use)
The timing signature, for the most part is 3/4 and 4/4
