The Knack - My Sharona - ft Sara Loera - Ken Tamplin Vocal Academy
“My Sharona” has served as the inspiration for many songs that were written after it including Michael Jackson’s “Beat It”.
What other well known songs do you know of that were inspired off another hit that came first. Let me know in the comments!
Songwriter Doug Fieger fell in love with the real Sharona Alperin when he was 25 and she was 17 and she became the inspiration for a string of songs Fieger wrote for The Knack.
The song was The Knack’s debut single and became the fastest gold status debut single for Capitol Records since the Beatles' "I Want to Hold Your Hand" in 1964.
Sara Loera is taking on the song for today’s video. We hope you enjoy it!
