And now, for something COMPLETELY DIFFERENT.

I've always wanted to do a full instrumental cover of this beautiful track from one of my favorite games of all time, unfortunately I am not an orchestral player (yet) and so I made use of the various VST's out there to summon up the power (and instruments) to create this beautiful piece of composition by Jasper Kyd. It was a very time consuming process to draw in all the notes and get all the volumes to do what I needed it to do, but in the end this was totally worth all the effort.

I have also included short snippets of my work flow during the course of this video so you can see what that looks like. For the main vocal parts, I tried my best to get as close to the original as possible, but the middle part is obviously not the same as I cannot get the correct vocal phrasing.

All in all this was a very fun mini project and I hope you will enjoy this with me. This composition always gives me the chills and so I hope that it is done in such a way that it would do the same to you.
