Holy shit this one turned out weird, but I like it. Who says you can't go from djent to fusion-y easy listening?
I was approached a few weeks ago by the illustrious NintendoCore Duo, another pair of VGM musicians that specialize in a specific breed of covers that utilize guitars with more strings attached than a fucking Cuban timeshare. The end product resulted simultaneously in my lowest tuned cover (Drop Gb) and their most progressive cover yet; go figure.

I've only played Contra a few times and the music never really stood out to me as anything super memorable, but after dicking around with the track's progression, I can confirm that this track gets stuck in my head rather easily now.
One more cover left of 2014, keep an eye out! After that, I've got a pretty big project that I'm working on with someone that you all may know rather well to kick off 2015 ;)
