Bon Jovi - Bad Medicine - cover - Ken Tamplin Vocal Academy
My next song in line from my Bon Jovi covers series is “Bad Medicine”.
Bad medicine was first released in 1988 and was the lead single from the album New Jersey. Jon wrote the song along with Richie Sambora and Desmond Child.
The song features some definitive keyboard playing by David Bryan along with some pretty notable guitar playing by Richie Sambora and Jon delivers the lyrics at a relatively fast pace. It’s one of the more hard rocking and upbeat tunes from the album.
The song is a classic that continues to be played on rock radio as well as performed by the band at live concerts.
Jon has had more voice struggles in recent years so I’m going to share my interpretation of the tune and what I would do differently.
Let me know what you thought of the performance!
