Love Bites - Halestorm cover - Kati Cher - Ken Tamplin Vocal Academy
Kati has done an amazing job with some of Halestorm’s other songs and today she is performing her version of “Love Bites”.
Lzzy Hale refers to this tune as the “anti-love song” and has stated it’s a stab against the media’s portrayal of love.
The band members have stated that "Love Bites" was influenced by their cover of Skid Row's song “Slave to the Grind” and “Lamb of God”. Lzzy also mentioned on an episode of That Metal Show that thrash metal bands like Megadeth and Anthrax were influences for the song.
According to producer Howard Benson, this was one of the quickest songs that he's ever recorded in his studios.
The song won the award for "Best Hard Rock/Metal Performance" at the 2013 Grammy Awards and Japanese all-female metal band Lovebites derived their name from the song.
