When the artists still painted their paintings with the help of a sanguine, coal, sepia or a coal pencil, a new material for painting appeared - pastel. These are dry, soft pencils without rims, resembling crayons. The technique of pastels is loved by many artists.
Pastel is a pure, powdery pigment mixed with a small amount of binder. This makes them softer than chalk, and the area of application is more universal. They differ in color from soothing tones to very bright ones and are an excellent tool for creating large and small pictures in any conditions.
Pastels are divided into three types: dry, oil and wax. Most often, artists use dry pastel. For work you need only a sheet of paper and pastel - nothing more. You can quickly get ready-made drawing in the house or outside the walls, and you do not have to wait for it to dry out.
I'll show you the pastel drawing technique. You will see how to draw flowers, how to draw fruits, how to draw the sea, how to draw a beach, how to draw a landscape, how to draw a sunset, and much more.
