Sometimes, skin care products can be expensive and we wanted to show you some amazing homemade skincare recipes that can change your life.
1. DIY lip scrub:
If your lips get chapped very easily, try this DIY lip mask to hydrate them and bring them back to life. In a bowl, add one tablespoon of honey and some olive oil, then, add a tablespoon of sugar and mix them all together really well. Then, take some on your finger and massage on your lips for two minutes. Remove it using a cotton pad and apply some chapstick or vaseline
2. How to make your own eyeliner.
If you are doing your makeup and saw that you run out of eyeliner create your own using this hack. In a bowl mix some activated charcoal with some olive oil. Then take your eyeliner brush and see the magic on your eyelids.
3. How to relieve irritated skin.
This is ideal if you just shaved your legs and your skin gets irritated. Make some black tea and let it cool down for a while. Then, add some vinegar into the tea and let it brew. Don't remove the tea back, let it soak up all the vinegar from your tea. Finally, apply it your irritated skin and see the results right away.
4. DIY makeup powder for baking
Makeup powders can be very expensive. Some people prefer to use all natural makeup products that are most importantly cruelty-free. So we have this hack on how to make your own makeup powder that is as effective as real makeup powder but also free. Add some oats into the blender and grind them as finely as possible. Then, pour some water inside, let it sit and then wash out (repeat 3 times). After that, using a spoon scoop the wet powder out of your blender and place it on some tissue paper. Spread it flat on the paper and let it sit there until it is dry and Voila.
5. How to apply oil and cream on your face.
Applying facial oil and moisturizing cream can be very tricky when using your fingers. Instead of that, you can get an old deodorant roller that has run out and clean it really well. Then, apply your oil on cream on your face and distribute it all over using your clean roller since it will also massage your skin at the same time
6. How to make your own stripless wax:
We know how effective yet expensive a good quality stripless wax can be, but did you know you can create your own? Try this simple hack. In a pan add some sugar, then add some water and lemon juice. Stir it all together well and bring to boil for 5-7 minutes. Then, pour it into a container and let it cool down for 10 - 20 minutes to prevent any burns. Finally, apply it on your skin and start waxing
7. How to make your own deodorant:
If you've run out of deodorant, instead of rushing to buy a new one, why not make your own? In a bowl, add 1/3 cup of cornstarch, then add 1/3 of baking soda, 5 tablespoons of coconut oil and a few drops of tea tree essential oil. Mix them all together really well until there are no lumps left in the mixture. Pour it in your old deodorant container and let it dry.
