When writing this I wanted to create an eerie atmosphere of foreboding and agitation such as one might experience when exploring an abandoned and derelict castle at nighttime (not that this is something I necessarily do).

It’s a departure from the style of my recent uploads, but I enjoyed experimenting with relentless repeated notes and alternating between moments of drive and excitement and relatively static passages in which harmonies linger un-anchored with no definite sense of direction.
