Back in 2015, Alessia Cara's "Here" showed us how much insight an outsider could have. The Canadian singer's ode to the joys of wallflowering found lots of fans who could also vibe the exact blend of shyness and disengagement she was sharing. It turned out AC was a charmer. We had a blast shooting our LIFT performances with her that year. Since, she's grown, grown, grown. The new 'In The Meantime' finds her eloquence has leveled-up nicely. Nursing herself after a break-up, Cara searches for a blend of poetry and melody to patch together the chunks of a broken dream, and muster the optimism that has always sustained her. She's no longer that girl in the corner, of course. The videos for "Best Days," "Sweet Dream," and "Shapeshifter" find her giving the camera everything she's got. Ditto for our new performances of those songs and "Lie To Me." Watch 'em all and get caught up with where one of our faves is at these days.
