SMC Shorts celebrates the importance of moving image in the work of the School of Media and Communication’s 2020 graduates. From narrative explorations of identity and choreographed vignettes focused on the body to documentary journalism, projects included in the selection highlight the excitingly diverse approaches to the medium.
Including high-value productions and lo-fi films shot during the lockdown, SMC Shorts spans projects from across all three programme areas - Fashion Media, Fashion Communication and Performance. Crucially, it shows the breadth of cultural and creative identities of the 2020 graduates, giving us hope that they can help re-imagine the industries they are entering this year.
